What are your terms and conditions? How far back can you go?
This is really hard to predict as many factors have to be taken into consideration such as surname, parish records
occupations etc. But generally I would expect to get as far back as the early 1800's on a standard search.
TopHow much information do I need to provide?
The only information you will need to provide is at least the Name and Date of Birth of your ancestor(s),
this must be as accurate as possible,
For example: Jo Doe, born in Doesland, Dorling, 29 February 1901.
If you're not sure then please contact me. Very little information is needed,
you are more than welcome to provide more if you think it may be of help.
TopWhat records are used?
When embarking on a standard search, I use the following sources: Birth, Marriage & Death records 1837 onwards,
census returns 1841-1901, and Parish records. For a more detailed search I use many more sources enabling me to
get a fuller picture.
TopHow long will a search take?
Each search option has been allocated an approximate timescale:
Preliminary search: 2 weeks.
Standard Search: 4-6 weeks.
In-Depth Search: 6-8 weeks.
Special Search: 8-10 weeks.
The above timescales are approximate, I aim to get all research done by the lower end of the estimate, you will be
informed of any delays.
If you would like research done by a particular date just ask - if it is not possible I will let you know beforehand.
TopHow much will it cost?
Searches are priced from £20 - £500 based on the amount of time and depth of research involved.
For a fuller description please visit the Family History Services link on the left.
TopWhat happens if you fail?

print off the order form and enclose payment. With regard to the Standard, In-Depth & Special Searches
respectively I require a non-refundable £50 deposit on application and I will invoice you for the balance upon
